When will the console version be released?

To make sure you get the best possible FragPunk experience, we're taking our time to get the console version just right. Our goal is to have it ready for you within the next two months.

We know waiting sucks, so we'll keep you in the loop with regular updates on how the console version is shaping up. No secrets here – we believe in keeping things transparent between us and our players.

Installation and Issues of Launching the Game

What should I do if I am unable to download the game, the download progress bar is stuck, or installation fails?

1. It is recommended to check your computer's disk space to ensure there is enough remaining space on the disk where the game client is downloading.

2. Try pausing the download and then restarting it.

3. Try disabling your antivirus software before continuing the download.

4. Check if there are any issues with your network. If it's unstable, you may seek help from your network provider.

5. Check if the download path contains characters other than English. If it does, please rename the path to use English characters only.

6. Check the launcher installation and download settings.

What should I do if my login screen triggers a "CreateServiceW 1072" prompt?

Please try restarting your computer.

 

What should I do if my login screen triggers a "StartServiceW31" prompt?

We recommend running an antivirus scan and restarting your computer.

 

If my login screen triggers a "A D3D11-compatible GPU…is required to run the engine" prompt, what should I do?

There may be a driver issue. Try repairing/reinstalling the driver.

 

What should I do if the game gets stuck on the logo during startup or fails to run?

1. Check if your driver version is up to date.

Method 1:

Open "Run," type "dxdiag," and click "OK."

Select "Display" to view your driver version.

Method 2:

Right click on "This PC," then open "Properties."

Open "Device Manager."

Find the "Display adapters" and the corresponding graphics card, then right click on "Properties."

Choose "Driver" to view your driver version.

 

2. Check the latest driver version for your graphics card. If the driver is not up to date, please download the latest version and install it.

 

3. Try to install the .net and VC++ 64-bit environments. If the .net environment fails to install properly, please try resetting your computer.

Step-by-step: Open the Start menu, go to "Settings," then to "Update & Security." Select "Recovery," then click on "Get started." Before proceeding, make sure to double check if a backup is needed.

 

What should I do if my login screen triggers a "StartServiceW 2" prompt?

Try verifying the integrity of the game files.

 

My Nvidia graphics card supports DLSS, but the game indicates that this feature cannot be enabled. What should I do?

Your graphics card driver may not be updated to the latest version (certain third-party driver software may not display available updates, leading players to believe that the driver is already up-to-date when it isn't). Try updating the graphics card driver, cleaning memory or disk space.

If updating the graphics card driver still poses problems, please consider uninstalling the driver and performing a clean installation.

I receive an error message about "DirectX Runtime" when I launch the game. What should I do?

If you encounter this error message, try downloading and installing the most up-to-date DirectX driver before launching the game. If the issue persists after installation, consider downloading and installing the Visual C++ runtime library.

 

The game does not display properly, or the visual effects appear abnormal. What should I do?

1. Ensure correct installation of the graphics card: connect your monitor to your dedicated graphics card to maximize your computer's performance and enjoy smoother gaming.

2. If the monitor is correctly connected but the display is still abnormal, seek further assistance:

1) Is the dedicated graphics card functioning properly? Check for correct connections and power supply issues.

2) Are the dedicated graphics card drivers up to date? Visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer for the latest drivers.

The game crashes abruptly, and when I relaunch it, I get an "Out of video memory…" message. What should I do?

We recommend checking the computer's disk capacity, ensuring that the remaining space in the client's download directory is sufficient.

Close other applications.

Clean up the C drive space, ensuring that the remaining space is at least 1.5 times the physical memory.

Increase physical memory (at least 8GB is required).

 

What should I do if the game fails to start or if there are other issues running the game?

1. If your configuration meets the requirements, please try updating your graphics card driver, cleaning memory, or freeing up disk space. If updating the graphics card driver still causes issues, try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it, choosing a clean installation.

2. Try disabling your computer's antivirus software or other security software.

3. Use driver management software to check if the sound card driver is installed. If it is, please uninstall the driver.

4. If other abnormal issues occur, please provide feedback.

5. If you have overclocked your CPU/GPU/memory and the game runs unstable, please disable the overclocking feature.

6. If your computer has a high configuration and the graphics card is installed vertically, and you encounter startup or crash issues, please change the graphics card to a horizontal installation.

 

After starting the game, all my screens go black for a few seconds and then recover. What should I do?

Please try updating your graphics card drivers. If the issue still persists after updating the graphics card drivers, please consider uninstalling the driver and then reinstalling it, selecting a clean installation in the options.

 

After starting the game, the screen keeps flickering. What should I do?

Press Alt+Z to open the GeForce Experience panel, then disable Nvidia Instant Replay. Alternatively, revert GeForce Experience to an older version.

 

My CPU is an i9-13900K/i9-14900K, a high-end processor. It frequently crashes when starting games. What should I do?

Some of Intel's best CPUs may be having stability issues in Unreal Engine 4 and 5 games. According to reports, CPUs like the Core i9-13900K and/or the Core i9-14900K encounter shader compilation issues in certain games that lead to crashes.

After starting the game, a warning pop-up appears saying "Please use a CPU that supports the AVX instruction set to play this game." What should I do?

You need to enable AVX in the BIOS. The specific steps may vary due to differences in motherboard models and BIOS versions, so please look up the instructions if needed. Below are some guidelines for specific motherboards:

- For ASUS motherboards: During the boot process, press “F8” or “ESC” or “Delete” to enter the UEFI/Legacy BIOS interface. In the BIOS, find "AVX Related Controls" and click to open it -> Locate "AVX2" and change "Disabled" to "Enabled" -> Press F10 to save and exit, then restart the computer and start the game.

- For Gigabyte motherboards: During the boot process, press the “Delete” key to enter BIOS -> Press “F2” to enter advanced mode, then switch to the “Frequency/Voltage Control” option and find “Advanced CPU Settings” -> After entering, find "AVX Settings" and select "User Defined" -> Find the option "AVX (Disabled)" and change it to "Enabled" -> Press F10 to save and exit, then restart the computer and start the game.

- For MSI motherboards: During the boot process, press the “Delete” key to enter the BIOS setup -> Press “F7” to enter advanced mode and click on the OC option. Find "AVX Support" and select "Enable" -> Press F10 to save and exit, then restart the computer and start the game.

 

After starting the game, a pop-up appears: Error at hooking API "LoadingStringA". What should I do?

Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Find "Microsoft Visual C++". Right-click and select "Change" -> Click "Repair" in the pop-up.

 

My AMD graphics card supports FSR4 technology, but FSR4 is not enabled in the game. What should I do?

Manually enable FSR4 in Radeon Settings -> Restart the game client -> The game should then recognize FSR4 technology.
