Q: How do I link my accounts across platforms (using console accounts as an example)?

 

 

Scenario 1: Linking Before Your First Login

 

When you install and open FragPunk on your console for the first time, a cross-platform account linking page will automatically pop up before you enter the game.

 

 

At this point:

 

• Your default account will be your PSN or Xbox account.
• No FragPunk game account has been created yet.

 

If you choose to link an account at this stage, there are two possible outcomes:

 

Case 1: Linking to an Existing Account from Another Platform (No Console Bonus Eligibility)

 

If you link your PSN/Xbox account to an existing Steam account that already has game progress, the system will treat your PSN/Xbox account (which has no game data yet) as a new account and directly bind it to your Steam account.

After successful linking, logging into FragPunk on your console will sync your Steam progress to your PSN/Xbox account.

This method is recommended for players who want to carry over progress from another platform to consoles.

 

Steps:

 

1. Click the Link button under the Steam platform icon.
2. Scan the QR code that appears and log in to your Steam account using your mobile device.
3. After logging in, if this is your first time setting up cross-platform linking, the system will ask you to link a NetEase Games account for security purposes, to prevent account theft or malicious binding. Click the Link to continue.

4. On the binding page, you can either link an existing NetEase Games account or create a new one (this step only needs to be completed once).

5. Once the account binding or creation is complete, a Link Successful message will appear.

6. Return to the main linking page to confirm that the accounts have been successfully linked.

7. If you want to link additional platform accounts that do not yet have any game data, simply click the corresponding Link button.

*Note: Once your NetEase Games account is successfully linked, you will not be required to complete the NetEase binding process again.

 

Case 2: Linking to Another Platform Account Without Existing Game Progress (Console Bonus Eligible)

 

If you link your newly created PSN account (with no game data) to a Steam account that has never logged into FragPunk, the two accounts will bind directly.

After linking, your PSN and Steam accounts will share a single game account, and all progress will be synced across both platforms from the moment of account creation.

This method is recommended for players who have not yet started their journey and wish to set up cross-platform linking early.

The linking steps are the same as those outlined in Case 1.

 

Scenario 2: Closing the First Login Linking Prompt and Linking Later In-Game (Console Bonus Eligible)

 

If you skip the account linking during your first login and create a character, a new account tied to your console ID will be automatically created.

To link other platform accounts later, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings → Privacy, then click Link Other Platforms to open the cross-platform linking page.

2. Log in to the target platform and bind your NetEase Games account for security.
3. Important:

• If the platform account has no game progress, the system will bind your console account to it, syncing progress across platforms. (Same as Case 1 - Scenario 1.)
• If the platform account has existing game data, you will need to choose which account’s data to retain. The other account's progress will be archived.

When linking accounts across platforms, if both your current and target platform accounts have separate game progress, due to current system limitations, only one set of data can be retained as the shared game data across all platforms.

You will be shown a summary of each account’s game data (such as character name, level, etc.) to help you make a choice.

⚠️ Please choose carefully. Once you select the primary account, the other account’s progress will be archived.

• After selection, the game does not currently support switching primary accounts.
• If you make an incorrect selection, you will need to contact customer service for account recovery, and the process may take some time.

After completing the selection, your account linking will be successful. You can close the page and continue playing the game.

Logging in with any of the linked platform accounts will now access the same shared game data.

 

4. If you want to link more platform accounts, repeat Steps 2 and 3 of the linking process.

Q: How do I unlink a platform account from my console account?

 

You can unlink any associated platform account at any time (except for your NetEase Games account, which is required for identity verification).

Once unlinked, the platform account will no longer share your current game data. Logging in with the unlinked account will create a new game file starting from scratch.

If you notice any unfamiliar accounts linked to your game, please unlink them immediately.

You can always recover your original game data by logging in with your NetEase Games account via the Loading Bay platform.

 

Note:

 

• If you unlink the platform account currently associated with your game version (e.g., your PSN or Xbox account), you will be immediately logged out, and re-entering the game will create a new account.
• Due to PlayStation's policies on virtual asset transfers, once your game data has been linked to a PSN account, you cannot transfer it to a different PSN account.

However, you can re-link it to the original PSN account if needed.

Q: Does FragPunk support cross-platform matchmaking on consoles?

 

Yes!

• In non-ranked modes, FragPunk supports cross-platform multiplayer between consoles and PC.
• In Ranked mode, to ensure a fair and competitive environment, PS and Xbox players can only match with players on the same console platform.

All platforms share one Ranked leaderboard, so you can compete for top spots together!

Q: Are there differences between the console and PC versions of FragPunk?

 

The gameplay content is identical across all platforms.

However, there are some differences in controls:

• Aim Assist:

Console versions feature aim assist to help offset the slower precision of controller aiming compared to a mouse.

In cross-platform matches, aim assist strength is slightly reduced to maintain competitive fairness.

• Motion Sensor Support (PlayStation Controllers Only):

FragPunk supports gyro aiming using the motion sensor feature on PlayStation controllers.

*Note: Xbox controllers do not support motion sensor functionality.
